Now in its 12th year of publication, tikichris.com is an award-winning blog that features a variety of photo-rich posts published on a regular basis. The blog highlights the best of London culture and lifestyle alongside lots of food and drink and plenty of travel related stories and tips. It is the work of Chris Osburn, a London-based freelancer writer, photographer and consultant originally from the American Deep South.
Trips100 lists tikichris as one of its top 10 UK travel blogs of 2016. Eventbrite has tikichris in fourth place among the UK’s top 30 food and drink influencers. Lastminute.com places tikichris among its top ten London blogs as well as one of its overall top 50 blogs. The blog won Highly Commended in the Best Food & Drink category at the 2016 UK Blog Awards. It received DFDS Seaways’ Best Travel Photo Blogger Award of 2015. In 2014, Foodies 100 listed tikichris in second place among its Top 20 Food Blogs on Twitter.
Chris’ submitted recipe for the 2017 Ginspiration Cocktail Challenge won by a landslide vote and is now the official “J&T” for high-end luxury brand, Juliette’s Interiors. His entry for Bidvest 3663’s Ultimate Bacon Butty contest received the top prize of Overall Best. Chris was also the winner of Ainsley Harriott’s Soup Search Challenge.
The blog ranks well in the Trips 100 and Zomato lists of top blogs (usually in the top ten). Indeed, the tikichris Zomato profile has received nearly 2million views since 2013.
Tikichris has more than 17,700 subscribers. It sees 19,000 approximate monthly uniques and 26,000 approximate total monthly impressions. The vast majority of tikichris readers and followers are affluent central Londoners in their mid 20s to early 50s.
Chris keeps an active presence across a number of popular social media sites and applications, including his @tikichris Twitter account which has more than 17,300 followers, mostly from across Britain.
The range of outlets to which Chris regularly contributes includes Metro, City AM and Bespoke, Great British Chefs, Miles Away, Going Places and Urban Travel Blog. A list of other outlets to which he has contributed includes Foodism, Time Out, CNN, HuffPost Taste, Comte des Cierges’ CDCLifestyle, LBC 97.3FM, Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art, and Pervoe Vtoroe Tretye. Chris has done extensive commissioned work for TripAdvisor as well.
Chris’ latest endeavour is a podcast called tikichris Talks. It’s available for download via his blog as well as iTunes. Within only a few months of starting it, Chris has already secured interviews with Michelin star chefs and world renowned artists. March 2018
